model-tweaks flasher

01 Your firmware

Download the original OS 1.13 .syx for your device from Elektron's support pages and drop it here. No firmware is hosted on this site.

Drop the .syx here, or click to choose it

Loading the engine (Python in the browser, about 10 MB, once)…

02 Tweaks

03 Get it onto the device

Recommended: send the file with Elektron Transfer, the fastest way. Any SysEx tool works too.

Or send it from this page over USB MIDI (Chrome / Edge)

Connect the device over USB and open its OS upgrade screen (CONFIG > UPGRADE) so it waits for the firmware.
Pick its MIDI port and press Send. Keep this tab in front until it is done.

Speed margin Pace of a MIDI cable times this. Raise it if the transfer stalls.

Before you flash

Modifying the firmware voids your warranty and could brick your device. You do this at your own risk.
Make sure you can reach STARTUP MENU: power off, hold FUNC, power on, then OS UPGRADE. That is the way back to stock firmware.
Back up your projects first.
Every check of the command-line tool runs here too: the file is parsed in full, the MAIN OS must match the known original, every patched region is confirmed first, and the built file is re-verified (packet checksums, container checksums, HMAC) before you can download it.

Source, documentation and the command-line version: the repository. Not affiliated with Elektron. The 16-channel USB audio tweak builds on ms-multi-output and Modded-Cycles.
